Kael is the co-founder of many successful cafes in Melbourne:

  • Barrys

  • Vacation Roasters in Exhibition Street
  • Soon opening in Brunswick/Coburg
  • He opened the first cafe with his family. His father wanted him to pursue something other than hospitality as his father had run restaurant.
    Timing was everything! Pillar of Salt opened at just the right time.
    Touchwood and Barry have been sold.
    He built a strong team.
    He paid designers, architects, and doesn’t think you can do a cafe cheaply.
    Costs are increasing.
    His cafes focused on local loyal patrons.
    Menu is all day.
    New cafe coming soon!
