Cloud computing

If you haven’t heard of cloud computing you’ve probably been using it. According to Wikipedia Cloud computing is Internet-based computing, whereby shared resources, software, and information are provided to computers and other devices on demand

I love Cloud computing. Cloud computing allows me to sit in a lecture and instantly access my calendar, email and tasks from my iPhone. My data is stored in the cloud.

Google is great at cloud computing. Microsoft isn’t. Microsoft makes you buy “Office” and install it on your PC. Google says, “Nah!”. Just go to Google.com and everything you need:

Documents, Spreadsheets, Excel, Presentations,
Mail
Calendar
Free Voice Calls

Suddenly your business, you personally can do everything for FREE online with no software or storage.

So where is this going? I don’t know exactly. There are some resources here about security fears, about what Cloud really means, and IBMs plans for our planet…
